Pricing
Pay for the work, not the chairs.
A modest base fee plus metered usage. Agents and automations do the work in Wavetable, so pricing follows the work: events ingested, automations run, messages sent. Seats are a minor dimension by design.

Meters
What gets counted, exactly.
These are the real billing meters, the same ones you can query inside the product. Reading your own data (Canvas, records, Inbox review) is never usage.
| Meter | What it counts | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Events ingested | Raw events accepted from connectors and the ingest API | An email arrives, a Stripe invoice is paid, a page is viewed |
| Intent runs | Executions of compiled workflow artifacts | The stale-deal follow-up fires for one deal |
| AI tokens | Model usage in the design plane, memory generation, and edge agent | The Compiler drafts a schema migration; Ask answers a question |
| External sends | Messages leaving the system after approval | An approved check-in email goes out through Resend |
| MCP calls | Tool calls made by external agents against your tenant endpoint | Claude queries your pipeline through your MCP endpoint |

Pricing FAQ
The questions people actually ask.
Why metered instead of per-seat?
Because agents and automations do much of the work here, and seats undercount value. Wavetable meters the work the system actually does for you (events, runs, sends, agent calls) and keeps the base fee modest. Seats are deliberately a minor dimension.
What happens when I hit a limit?
Nothing silent. Automations carry budget grants; exceeding one stops the run and raises an Inbox escalation. On paid tiers, overage past the included volumes bills at published metered rates, from the same meters you can inspect in the product.
Can I see what I'm being charged for?
Yes, inside the product itself. Every run records its cost, and usage is queryable: "what did the follow-up automation cost last month" is an Ask question with a receipt.
Is the Free tier actually usable?
It is a real evaluation: your data, real connectors, full receipts, the same trust machinery. The limits are on volume, not on honesty.
